You can color your hair right before the treatment or at least 14 days after.

Waxing

What is a waxologist and what exactly is waxing?

A waxologist has an esthetician or cosmetologist license through the Board of Cosmetology and is recognized as an expert in waxing.

Waxing is one of the most effective forms of hair removal — removing the entire hair from the follicle, or “root”.

Why should I wax?

Consistent waxing causes hair to grow back slower, sparser, and finer. Shaving cuts hair off at the thickest part of the hair shaft, not only increasing the chance of ingrowns, but also making the hair appear thicker when it grows back within 24 to 48 hours.

What are the benefits of waxing?

Less chance of ingrown hairs and irritation and longer-lasting results.

Can I get waxed if I am pregnant?

Of course. Be sure to let your waxologist know so they can make sure the products are safe. Most of our mama-to-be’s book out all of their waxing appointments up until about 7 days of their due date to stay on track.

What if I’m taking medications or have allergies?

On your first wax visit, you will be asked to fill out our intake form, which is where you will list all medications and conditions, including allergies.

Does waxing hurt?

There is some discomfort associated with hair removal, however, our method of hair removal has been perfected to give you a more painless wax than ever.

Can men + nonbinary wax? Is there a price difference?

Of Course! Our waxologist has been trained for Brazilian waxing for all genders and sexes. Our pricing menu is the same.

How long does hair need to be to get waxed?

For areas below your neck, your hair needs to be at least ¼” long, think the size of a grain of rice or your bottom eyelashes.

Should I shave or trim between visits?

Refrain from shaving or trimming your waxed areas between visits.

How old do I have to be to get waxed?

Minors must have a parent fill out the intake form and sign the Minor Release portion. That being said, we will NOT wax anyone who does not want to be waxed or feels uncomfortable doing so regardless of parental consent.

How long will my wax last?

Your wax will last about 2 weeks. When the hair does grow back, it will come in softer, thinner, and sparser.

What if I have a sunburn or rash?

We cannot wax over a sunburn, rash, scab, or any other skin injury as it may injure you even further. Give it at least a week after getting sunburned before coming in.

What if I’m not sure how I want my eyebrows waxed?

We will walk you through your first brow wax with a consultation. After, we will work together to achieve your brow goals. We stick to natural shaping to help complement the face. We ask that you DO NOT tweeze your brows between brow waxing appointments.

When should I start my exfoliating regimen?

Wait 48 hours after waxing to start any exfoliating regimen.

What is the difference between liquid and physical exfoliation?

There are two kinds of exfoliation we focus on when preventing and treating ingrown: liquid and physical. Physical exfoliants are the type you will physically feel, think scrubs or exfoliating gloves. Liquid exfoliants are serums and ingredients that work inside the layers of your skin to keep your follicles clean and promote cell turnover and healing.

Can I apply deodorant or lotion after?

We recommend waiting 12 to 24 hours before applying deodorant to any area waxed as it can irritate your skin. Lotions that are aloe-based and fragrance-free are okay to use same day but we recommend waiting 24 hours before using anything scented.

What if I have an allergic reaction?

Allergic reactions are rare but can happen. First, let your waxologist know, and he/she will walk you through treatment. An allergic reaction the same day can look like hives or can appear a few days later as little whiteheads. It is crucial you do not pick at these whiteheads as doing so can cause hyperpigmentation. We keep a secondary wax on hand for those who experience any reactions to our standard wax.

What kind of wax do you use and why?

We use a warm wax with a smooth and creamy consistency formulated to work with all skin and hair types. It is infused with chamomile and azulene, which are both anti-inflammatory ingredients and help keep redness down to a minimum. Our technique is very different than traditional warm wax providing a quick and relatively painless waxing experience.
